A Great Distance in the Wind, the Sky at Dawn - Chapter Two (風の万里 黎明の空 二章, Kaze no Banri Reimei no Sora Nishou) is the twenty-fourth episode of the Twelve Kingdoms anime series. It is the second chapter of the third arc of the series, based on the novel The Twelve Kingdoms: Skies of Dawn.
Summary[]
King En, Enki, and Rakushun greet the new Queen Kei. Yoko must great the province leaders of Kei in her Congratulating Ceremony. A squabble breaks out between the ministers on whom's account falls responsibility for various things that occurred during the False Queen's reign.
Rangyoku and Keikei are making their way back to the Kingdom of Kei, now that the new ruler has ascended.
Yoko is having a meeting with Shoryu. Shoryu indulges Yoko on the many things about being a Ruler.
Back in Sai, Riyo has made her way back from Kei teasing Suzu how similar the two are. Suzu cries her way to the garden. She hopes Queen Kei will come rescue her one day.
In Hou, Shoukei is carrying firewood in the deep snow when she falls. She recalls one time when she hurt herself she went back to the rike for treatment. But Gobo tricks her into revealing her former identity. Shoukei overhears some town locals speaking about the new Queen of Kei. Shoukei fumes inside--feeling as if this new queen robed her of everything she once had.
One month after the Coronation Ceremony, the Ceremony of Koushi was performed. During the ceremony Yoko sees a vision from the sword, Suiguutou --her wrinkling up into an old person.
Keiki presses added matters into her, putting even more stress on her.
Yoko decides to remove the Lord of Baku Province hoping it would satisfy everyone.
