Sekki (夕暉), the younger brother of Koshou, is the brains behind the Shisui rebels. Aware of Sekki's intelligence, Koshou wants his younger brother to study and become an official, though he does not want Sekki's abilities to be used for furthering the schemes of the corrupt officials in Wa Province, where Sekki will likely be assigned after completing his studies.
When Youko appears searching for Enho, Sekki stops Koshou from attacking her, despite Koshou's belief that she may be a spy. Sekki later explains that he heard the ring of steel, and that Youko's bravery suggests that she is far more dangerous than she appears. Sekki makes all the tactical decisions for the rebels except when fire threatened Takuhou and Koshou overrides him.
