Tanno (丹野)[1] is one of the two chemistry teachers at a private school in Japan. He is more elderly than the other chemistry teacher, Gotou. Tanno is described as a gentle older man who rarely comes to the chemistry teachers' prep room because he has difficulty dealing with the smell of turpentine.
